Reality to Possibility: Shifting Your Mindset

Reality to Possibility

Challenge: You Confine Yourself to What is Currently in Your Life

“Don’t let your reality define your reality. Let your possibilities define it.”

Reality is a pattern, it is {society’s} life pattern that is constantly pulling our hearts. Honestly, it is probably one of the strongest forces that we face. Reality challenges us in ways that we either surrender, resist, or even resent—and it is so strong that we often convince ourselves that there are no other options, the blinders attach to our eyes and we move with the heaviness within our body.

We do this with everything: our jobs, our relationships, our thinking, our responses, our choices, our challenges, literally everything. The interesting thing is that there is an even stronger force, the kryptonite to reality: POSSIBILITY.

Solution: Possibility

“Don’t let your reality define your reality. Let your possibilities define it.”

Scissors beat paper, paper beats rock, rock beats scissors, and possibilities take all :) Possibility transcends reality—it transcends society. On a collective level, we can change the world on a HUGE scale. However, our collective hearts tend to live in reality, and reality’s pull can overtake possibilities. This is why possibility’s strength is found within the individual level. If enough individuals can see, experience, and manifest possibility, we can finally tip the scale.

…So then doesn’t possibility become reality?

In my opinion, no. Possibility is always the next step that exists in the mind. It pulls you into a new, more powerful, and aligned reality.

…So then aren’t we always living in reality? What is the point of possibility?

Ironically, yes. The reality is the present moment. The difference is your mindset at that moment. If you live in reality and base your life on the conditions around you, you are limiting your potential. The point of possibility is for you to be in control and see choices that you can make instead of society making them for you. You use the conditions inside* of you as your compass towards the possibilities.

As adults change their mindset (possibility goes even beyond growth mindset), this transfers to our children and moves our world forward. This is why you will find a special moment in my children’s book about “What If” and “I Wonder”. See the possibilities, believe the possibilities, manifest the possibilities. By the simple shift of changing your words from “what if” to “I wonder”, you will notice a complete shift in your energy and approach. Try it.

  1. Notice your inner dialogue (especially when you need to make a decision or respond to something)

  2. Decide if you need to change it and “flip the script”

  3. Change “What if” into “I Wonder” (even if there is not a specific “what if”, specifically create your inner thoughts into I wonder to create the flow)

  4. Pause and notice how your body responds

  5. Repeat as necessary

*Trauma connection and/or disconnection from your heart: Experiences can cause our body to respond by blocking the connection within, or you may not trust your internal compass. Validate this experience and mindset, give love and gratitude for the protection your body has given you, and stay open to the possibilities of a stronger internal compass. It is always there, it is finding the special communication it has with you for guidance and rebuilding trust. Presence and possibility are essential on this journey.

Reality is connected to the Root Chakra and possibility is connected to the Crown Chakra. You have duality forces pushing against each other, “flip the magnet” so that they stick together and work together. The negative force that stops the connection is fear (blockage to the Root Chakra). When the currents work together, the manifestation current flows and brings possibilities into reality. If you are looking to unblock the resistance, feel free to reach out for a personal coaching session and/or individualized yoga session tailored to the root chakra.

One more thing…“Don’t let your reality define your reality. Let your possibilities define it.”
